Murder Mystery Party - The Class of '54

My sister Lindsay gave me a murder mystery game for my birthday over 7 years ago and I never have done it. Finally, this year my friends and I decided to do it for New Years Eve. I was really excited to do it and tried my best to get Jordan and myself looking the part.

The theme of the party was the Class of "54.

Here is a description of our role:

Jordan:

Calvin Q. Layder:

The son of prominent Roley City insurance salesman, C.U. Layder "Cal" is a certified genius. While at many schools a science wizard would have no chance of joining the "in" crowd. Cal was a social success during high school largely because he was a terrific practical joker. His jokes, often directed at school administration and occasionally at city officials, earned him such high standing among the students at Roley High that he was a welcome member of any group.

Jodi:

Penelope Lofer

Penolope is the former Penny Roley. Rock N. Roley twin sister. She and Rock grew up in a wealthy family that lived in a big white mansion called "Roley House". During her youth, Penny made sure the house was filled with constant teen-age activity. Today, Penny is a hometown girl who married her high school boyfriend and lives in a pretty house not far from her former home.

It was a fun night playing these characters and getting to find out who killed Rock N Roley. It turns out that Jordan (Cal) was the one who killed Rock N Roley because he was heart broken because the girl he was in love with was killed in High School and Cal felt it was Rock N Roley fault.

We are excited to do another party with a different theme and feel it was a fun activity to play with some good friends.

Christmas with the Rowell Family

We had the opportunity to have the Rowell's come to our house in December to exchange gifts and spend some time together before Christmas. We had a good time and enjoyed each others company. We had breakfast, built Christmas gingerbread houses and opened presents. It was a fun day and we enjoyed spending time with each other.

Here are some pictures:

Grandma and Grandpa Rowell

Ryan and Lucas working diligently to build the best gingerbread house.

The finally product. It looks great!!!

The dynamic duo working on beating Ryan and Lucas at having the best gingerbread house.

The proud builders Jared and Dylan showing off their gingerbread house.

Mason and Savannah working on their gingerbread house. Mason was in heaven working with
Savannah on this. He was all smiles!!!

Mason loved building this gingerbread house but I think he likes eating it better!!!

Jodi opening up her gift from the Ryan. She likes gift cards!!!

Ryan getting some studly clothes from the Rowell's.

Jared opening up his gift. A new sweater always brings a smile on Jared's face.

Savannah getting excited about her new clothes. Pink is definitely her color.

Kenny getting the perfect gift... A transformer!!!

Luke died and went to heaven when he opened up his present from Grandma and Grandpa and it was a MP3 player. He couldn't stop smiling.

Dylan opening up some Bakagans from Grandma and Grandpa.

Mason opening up his first present of the Christmas season. It was more fun watching him tear the paper than anything else. He wasn't sure if he was going to get in trouble for tearing the paper. Once he realized it was O.K.,then he went to town. He got a CARS race track and love it.

Dad trying to open up the CARS race track. They make it almost impossible to open up the toy because they have so many ties and straps that it takes 20 minutes just to open the toy.
Overall, it was a fun day and we feel blessed to have family close by to share Christmas with.
